Emirates and Azul launch reciprocal loyalty program – Business Traveler

Emirates and Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras SA (Azul) launched a reciprocal loyalty program.

Emirates Skywards and TudoAzul frequent flyer members can now earn and redeem Miles across a combined network of over 290 destinations around the world.

The two airlines first launched a codeshare partnership in 2021 to provide customers with enhanced connectivity to and from eight cities in Brazil to the Emirates network via Sao Paulo.

The codeshare agreement with Emirates and Azul allows customers to connect to and from Rio de Janeiro, Santos Dumont (SDU), Belem (BEL) Belo Horizonte (CNF), Cuiabá (CGB), Curitiba (CWB), Juazeiro Do Norte (JDO), Porto Alegre (POA) and Recife (REC) on Azul-operated flights to Emirates flights from Sao Paulo (GRU) to Dubai and beyond with a single ticket.

Under the latest loyalty program agreement, Emirates Skywards members can earn Miles while traveling across Azul's network of over 150 destinations.

Skywards members earn up to 1 Skywards Mile per mile flown in Economy Class and up to 1.5 Skywards Miles per mile flown in Business Class.

Members can also redeem flight awards in Azul Economy Class on emirates.com (starting at 8,000 miles for a one-way award ticket) and Azul Business Class (starting at 17,500 miles for a one-way award ticket) .

Meanwhile, TudoAzul members can also earn Miles across the Emirates global network. Azul members can also enjoy flight rewards in Emirates economy and business class cabins.

Emirates will introduce premium economy in Sao Paulo and Tokyo Narita

Emirates currently operates a daily A380 service to Sao Paulo, with its Premium Economy cabin. The airline also operates a Boeing 777-300ER service between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro, which also connects travelers to Buenos Aires.

Emirates Skywards has over 30 million members worldwide and has four membership tiers (Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum) with each tier getting exclusive privileges including: access to airport lounges, instant flight upgrades , priority check-in and boarding, complimentary seat selection, excess baggage allowance, preferential Cash+Miles rates and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet on board.
