Brisbane Airport to welcome Australia's first Escape lounge – Business Traveler

Brisbane Airport has announced plans for the first Escape lounge outside the UK and US.

The Escape brand is operated by CAVU, a subsidiary of Manchester Airports Group, and currently has a portfolio of around 20 lounges in locations including East Midlands, Fort Lauderdale, London Stansted, Manchester and Minneapolis-St Paul airports.

The group is also responsible for the upcoming reopening of Manchester Airport's private terminal, which will operate under the new name aether from November.

The Brisbane facility will be located on the mezzanine level of the airport's international terminal and is scheduled to open in late 2024.

The lounge's design will be inspired by the South East Queensland region, with the airport highlighting that “references to canopy shade structures found in Brisbane and Queensland vernacular architecture will define the lounge's seating areas.” “.

CAVU is already partnering with Brisbane Airport in rolling out pre-booking services for its car parks, and group growth director Nolan Hough said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Brisbane Airport with the opening of our first Escape Lounge in Australia.”

Other upcoming locations for the Escape brand include the Portland and Tulsa airports. Earlier this year, one of Bristol Airport's two Aspire lounges was renamed Escape.
