B&B Hotels adds Heathrow property – Business traveler

European budget chain B&B Hotels has added its first UK property following a deal with the Arora Group.

B&B has taken out a long-term lease for the former Arora Park Hotel, located on Bath Road, about a ten-minute drive west of Heathrow Airport.

The group currently has a portfolio of just under 800 properties across Europe (the majority of which are located in France and Germany), as well as six hotels in Brazil.

B&B first announced its plans to expand into the UK in 2022, saying its ambition “is to become a key player in the British hospitality sector, specifically the economy/budget hotel segment.”

Sanjay Arora, chief operating officer and head of property, Arora Group, said the Arora Park Hotel “was originally built and operated as a British Airways crew accommodation hotel before being converted into a hotel catering to all segments of the market”.

“The building, facilities and its proximity to Heathrow Airport make it an ideal budget hotel and we are confident that B&B HOTELS will do a fantastic job in repositioning the property as one of the best value accommodation offerings at Heathrow “Arora added.

For his part, Fabrice Collet, president and CEO of B&B HOTELS, commented:

“Our successful growth model and commitment to value for our guests have made us a beloved brand across Europe and we are excited to bring that same experience to guests in the UK.

“We are accelerating our development in all the countries we are already in while continuing to establish ourselves in new markets. “Our goal is to become the leader in sustainable hotels with good value for money, with the ambition of having 3,000 hotels in ten years.”
