Minor Hotels and its local joint venture partner, Funyard Minor, are launching Avani Hotels & Resorts in China.
Upcoming debuts in the country include Avani Huajian Xinyi Guangdong Resort and Avani+ Xinyi Guangdong Resort, situated in a national protected forest area in southern China's Guangdong province.
Both properties are scheduled to open in the first half of the year.
Integrating elements of leisure, culture and ecotourism, Avani's designer properties will anchor development plans for an area that will comprise several hotels, commercial blocks and residential holiday villas.

Surrounded by a bamboo forest, Avani+ Xinyi Guangdong Resort will be located in the mountains above Ma'an Village. In addition to 96 rooms and suites, some with balconies and private pools, the resort will feature a contemporary all-day restaurant, a bar, an infinity pool, an AvaniFit gym and an AvaniKids club.
Xinyi is rich in ecological resources and has numerous natural attractions, including extensive alpine grassland, the largest bamboo forest in western Guangdong, mountain lakes and hot springs.
