Best for: Ultra-luxury travelers who want more privacy
What it's like inside: Although it is not cheap, PS is the best experience in a commercial and, at the same time, private airport. Travelers begin their journey at a facility completely separate from the rest of the airport, with an entrance located on Imperial Highway. Say goodbye to typical LAX traffic.
Upon arrival, guests are whisked away to one of two secluded luxury experiences: the “Private Suite,” a completely enclosed oasis for a group, or “The Salon,” a sophisticated shared social lounge. PS representatives then take care of all the pre-flight logistics, including monitoring for delays so you don't have to.
Guests enjoy an extensive cocktail and food menu that is included in the cost of admission, as well as spa and beauty offerings such as manicures, pedicures, haircuts and massages, for an additional fee.
For maximum privacy, there is a completely isolated TSA checkpoint or customs facility for international travelers upon arrival. And when boarding begins, guests are driven in a BMW directly to the aircraft door. Yes, that's right, travelers using PS never have to set foot in a terminal building.
How to enter: Travelers must pay per use to use PS; a private suite at LAX costs $4,850 for up to four travelers, while the lounge costs $1,095 per person. Discounts are available for those who sign up for an annual membership.
Where is it located: A private facility located across the airfield from the LAX main terminal area off Imperial Highway.
