Air France has announced plans to add a fifth Brazilian destination later this year.
The French flag carrier will launch thrice-weekly flights between Paris CDG and the country's coastal city of Salvador on October 28.
The route will be covered by the Air France A350-900 aircraft, configured with 34 seats in business class, 24 in premium economy class and 266 in economy class.
Salvador will join the airline's existing direct services to Fortaleza, Rio and Sao Paulo; Air France also flies to Belem via Cayenne in French Guiana.
Air Europa currently flies to Salvador from Madrid, while TAP Air Portugal flies to the city from Lisbon.
Air France said its partnership with Brazilian airline GOL would allow customers to connect to 40 domestic destinations in the country.
Meanwhile, the airline also announced that it will operate twice-weekly flights to Malé in the Maldives during the winter holiday season between December 20, 2024 and January 5, 2025, as well as offering a weekly service to Kiruna in Sweden starting December 21.
Finally, Air France will expand its flights to Denver and Phoenix during the winter season, with service three times a week to both destinations.
The Paris CDG-Denver route has been operating so far during the summer season, while flights to Phoenix will begin on May 23.
