Aero Dili launches flights to Singapore Changi Airport – Business Traveler

Aero Dili, Timor-Leste's new flag carrier, has launched its second international destination.

On February 24, Aero Dili launched a new weekly service between its Dili base and Singapore using Airbus A320 aircraft.

The airline will be the only airline to offer services between Timor-Leste and Singapore Changi Airport.

Aero Dili plans to increase the route to Singapore to twice-weekly services from April.

Dr José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, flew to Changi on the inaugural flight and joined the flag carrier and Changi for the welcome event.

Aero Dili started commercial operations five years ago. Singapore is its second international destination after Denpasar (Bali).

For now, the airline operates just one A320 on its international services, but plans to add a second Airbus aircraft in due course as its network continues to grow.

Its first A320 previously flew for Bangkok Airways and features 162 seats in an all-economy class cabin configured in a 3-3 layout.
