Abu Dhabi Airports appoint new CEO – Business Traveler

Abu Dhabi Airports has announced the appointment of Elena Sorlini as managing director and chief executive officer.

Sorlini assumes the role permanently after serving in an interim role since June 2023.

Sorlini has more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. Prior to joining Abu Dhabi Airports, she held several senior management positions, including CEO of Transport and Logistics at ADQ, Vice President of Group Corporate Strategy at Oman Aviation Group and Chief Strategy Officer at Copenhagen Airports.

Prior to that, she served as vice president of Macquarie Airports, one of the world's largest private airport owners and operators. She is also a member of the board of directors of Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi Aviation and ADQ Aviation and Aerospace Services.
