12 readers share their favorite trees in Los Angeles

“At 6601 West 82nd Street, there is the largest bare coral tree I have ever seen. Is awesome. Instead of spreading widely, as many do, this tree is wide and about 50 feet tall. In summer, it is full of dense green leaves that create beautiful shade and, as the name suggests, it is bare in winter, except for the beautiful coral-colored flowers. This tree is a gem and I can say that the owners of the house have taken very good care of it, keeping it pruned so that it has grown so beautifully. When I walk through the neighborhood I always make it a point to pass by this beautiful tree.”
