It’s been a busy week for Samsung, as it held its second Galaxy Unpacked event of 2024 on July 10, which saw the unveiling of a ton of new products. We saw the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, we finally got to see the Samsung Galaxy Ring, we saw the South Korean tech giant respond to the Apple Watch Ultra with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, we revealed the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, and the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro wireless earbuds.
With so many launches, it can be difficult to get a real insight into the major updates to flagship products. That’s why I took the opportunity to exclusively interview Kadesh Beckford, Samsung’s smartphone product manager, to find out about the major updates and what to expect from the new foldable phones.
Check out the video below.
By and large, the new foldable phones have opted for iteration rather than making major changes to design and performance. But that’s no bad thing, as the Fold and Flip arguably set the flagship for the best foldable phones. And as my colleague Jacob Krol, editor-in-chief of News, discovered, these updates mean that the price increases for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip aren’t a disaster.
And we did get a sneak peek at the new foldables, so check out our hands-on review of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and hands-on review of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.
