Virgin River Fans, you may not have to wait until next year for season six to hit the world's top streaming service, according to an exciting update from the show's star, Alexandra Breckenridge.
Deadline had originally reported in February that Virgin River The sixth season would not arrive on Netflix until 2025, as filming was unable to begin in Vancouver until March due to weather conditions. Fans were understandably disappointed by the news, given that a new season of Virgin River has landed on the streamer every year since its debut in 2019.
But now it looks like the hit Netflix series will be arriving in 2024 after all, as Breckenridge shared some intriguing information about the series' release date. In response to a fan's question about whether there was an update for the next season, the Mel Monroe actress wrote in an Instagram story seen by Express: “I'm curious. I know it was announced that season 6 will air this year in 2024, when, earlier this year, we didn't think it would air until 2025.”
Breckenridge continued to keep fans on their toes as to when Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and Mel Monroe's (Breckenridge) love story would continue, as he reportedly added, “Well, thanks for all the guesses on when.” Virgin River “Season 6 is coming out. I know exactly what date it will be, but I can't tell you. It's going to be a great season. I think everyone is going to really enjoy it. I hope they enjoy it.”
When will Virgin River season 6 premiere on Netflix?
Netflix never confirmed reports that the show's sixth season was delayed until 2025, but the streaming giant has given an update on the release date of one of Netflix's best shows. In fact, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos announced that Virgin River will arrive in 2024 at the end of July, confirming Breckenridge's comments.
