TO Peaky Blinders The film is coming to Netflix and will see Cillian Murphy return as ruthless gangster Thomas Shelby.
Murphy will produce the film written by Peaky Blinders Show creator Steven Knight follows the award-winning series that last aired in 2022. Tom Harper, who previously directed episodes of the first season, will also return to the director's chair.
Netflix confirmed the next Peaky Blinders film on its official Twitter account on Tuesday (May 4) with an image of the script titled A Peaky Blinders movie (see below).

“It seems that Tommy Shelby was not done with me… It is very gratifying to collaborate again with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This one is for the fans,” Murphy wrote in the announcement on social media.
Harper is also excited to get the gang back together, saying, “When I first directed Peaky Blinders More than 10 years ago we didn't know what the series would become, but we did know that there was something about the alchemy of the cast and writing that seemed explosive.
“Peaky “It's always been a story about family, so it's incredibly exciting to reunite with Steve and Cillian to bring the film to audiences around the world on Netflix.”
The film will begin production later this year, which lines up with a previous statement from Knight confirming that the cast will begin filming in Birmingham in September.
In the same interview with Radio Times, Knight also revealed that the film would follow the Shelbys into World War II: the original series, which ran for six seasons, followed the Shelby family gang as they rose to prominence on the violent streets. postwar.
