Two-dimensional lateral displacement Goldman's Eternal Life has just been announced as part of the THQ Nordic Showcase and for many, it will undoubtedly be the highlight game of the show.
Coming from Weappy Studio, developers of This is the police and its sequel, Goldman's Eternal Life debuted with an absolutely stunning trailer showcasing the game's hand-drawn animations and gameplay.
The opening cutscene, which follows an ape-like creature attempting (and ultimately failing) to escape a burning forest, segues seamlessly into gameplay, where we discover that the game's protagonist is an elderly gentleman who is half Sonic the Hedgehog, half Scrooge McDuck, with an incredibly fast running speed and a staff that can be used in combat and platforming.
We see that the staff has multiple functions, such as being used to defeat enemies like a giant octopus, and perform feats such as pulling out objects to use as platforms.
While it certainly looks fun to play and features a very novel protagonist, Goldman's Eternal Life The visuals of this game are really impressive. The world itself looks pretty harrowing, with a mix of spike-filled caves, trap-filled dungeons, and industrial cityscapes. The enemy design is also particularly macabre.
I'm also very impressed by the soundtrack so far, which combines a violin with strong percussion beats, and I can't wait to hear more on the full release.
In that sense, however, there is no confirmed release date for Goldman's Eternal Life For now. You can wishlist it right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
