- Nano SSD offers 512 GB of storage and safety of fingerprints in a small size
- It works with iPhone, Android, Mac and game devices, without additional software
- Tested in fall, with IP65 qualification and admits 4K video on iPhone Pro
Twopan has launched the SSD Nano, a compact USB-C storage device with a built-in digital fingerprint reader, a feature that we would love to see more offering storage manufacturers.
With a weight of only 5 gy, the size of a gum lever, the nano SSD twoon measures 20 x 13 x 5 mm and offers 512 GB of high speed storage in a friendly design with the keychain.
The main attraction of the product is, of course, the biometric security it offers. The device admits up to 20 digital footprints and does not require applications or software. Twopan says that plugs and only works.
Large compatibility
The SSD Nano is connected through a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port and will work with devices such as iPhone 15/16 Pro, Macbook Pro, iPad Air, Steam Deck, PS5 and Canon and Sony Camilas that admit the transfer of USB-C files.
It supports the direct recording of 4K and HD in the newest iPhone Pro models using Hevc (H.265) at 60 fps, so it is a good option for content creators who work in high -resolution formats.
It is also compatible with the Android phones of Samsung and Google, offering wide usability without the need for additional adapters or cables.
Twopan says that it fits on the 3 mm thick telephone covers or less, which makes it even easier to use on the march without eliminating protection.
Despite its small size, the SSD Nano offers up to 450 MB/s reading and writing speeds. It is resistant to water and dust with an IP65 classification and is tested for up to 10 meters. The housing is made of aluminum and plastic shock -proof, which offers additional durability for users traveling or working outdoors.
Twopan Nano SSD is currently live in Kickstarter with a retail price of around $ 99. The creators were looking for $ 1,277 in funds and managed to obtain more than $ 197,000 more than 1,600 sponsors. Shipping is expected in August 2025.
As most Crowdfund financed hardware, there is always the possibility of delays or changes. But if it offers promises, this could be one of the safest portable units.
