- Teamgroup P35S SSD can erase your data permanently and irreversibly with a few clicks
- Designed for spies, journalists and executives, this SSD values the secret about gross performance numbers
- Accidental deletion is a real concern with the hardware that deletes the data in two simple movements
In a technological panorama where external impulses are often blurred in a sea of similar characteristics and designs, the new Portable Teamgroup SSD carries a strong deviation in espionage territory.
The expert in T-Create P35 destroyed portable SSD presents something previously unknown in the conventional consumer market: a mechanism of data destruction with a single click.
While the concept may seem somewhat taken directly from a spy thriller, Teamgroup says that the device is intended for professionals who handle confidential or classified information.
A self -destructive SSD that promises a true data erased
This external SSD stands out thanks to its “patented physical chip destruction circuit.
Unlike standard data wipes, this feature claims to electrically destroy the data stored in the unit, which makes it completely unrecoverable.
Learned by a two-step process equipment group calls a “anti-mistauch” system, users should click and slide to activate cleaning.
It is not exactly a great red button, but the dramatic tone is part of the appeal.
The P35S, which weighs only 42 grams and measures 90 x 40 x 18 mm, offers transfer speeds of 1,000 MB/SA through a USB 3.2 Gen 2 type C.
This led to the bold “transfer 10GB in just 10 seconds, motto ready for anything” on the Teamgroup screen in Computex 2025.
While it will not be better for the best SSD in terms of performance alone, it offers sufficient performance for file management on the fly.
The most notable is the target audience of P35s. Users of references to the team group, such as journalists, corporate executives and government officials, people who may need to get rid of confidential data instantly.
“Designed for end users who carry highly confidential documents, the SSD avoids data violations and guarantees that personal and confidential information remains protected in all circumstances,” says the company.
There is even a wink towards the “use of defense”, which, depending on its level of cynicism, could suggest a genuine intention or feel like a section of public relations, especially in the light of recent cases of poor management of high profile data.
The SSD compact and timpe function function facilitates the image in the hands of an undercover agent or complainant.
But in practical terms, it can also generate concerns about accidental deletion, especially for users prone to worry. That is a reason why I would love to try this device.
It is likely that this is a main option for media players or creators, but for users who prioritize speed security, it can offer real value.
