- Star Wars BDX droids have landed on Disney World
- The drug set will be in Florida until August 30, 2025
- Disney exchanged components in droids to allow them to better resist climatic conditions, including higher heat environments
For the faithful of Star Wars and Disney Parks, another happy landing has occurred. The equally adorable and impressive BDX droids have reached Galaxy's Edge at Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida. That means that you may not have to travel as far as required to see the droids you have been looking for.
Disney first mocked that BDX droids would expand beyond appearing in Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland in California at SXSW 2025 during the “The Future of World Building at Disney” panel of Disney Experiences. Disney World was then confirmed, along with Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort, but BDX droids began to appear today, on July 16, 2025, in Florida.
Disney has confirmed that BDX droids will be in Disney World until August 30, 2025, and will appear seven times a day, from Tuesday to Saturday. You will see them in those days at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm.
Speaking earlier this year to Techradar, Moritz Bächer, Associate Laboratory Director of the Disney Zurich -based robotics team, also known as the man behind the Droids, told us a little about the preparation to bring these robots similar to the ducklings to more parks and, therefore, several climates.
BDX droids now have milling components instead of 3D printed parts to better resist Florida heat. For example, it is a maximum of 91 degrees Fahrenheit in Orlando today with more than 60% moisture. With advanced modeling too, Bächer and Disney Imagineering team worked to teach BDX droids about walking on different land and other movements, and this probably allows Disney Live Entertainment Program New New Experiences for the robots.

As you can suspect, Parkgoers' lucky ones at Galaxy's Edge in Disney World were quite excited to see BDX drugs, some even turned to social networks. We also learned what happens if they are with rain: BDX droids are covered with what seems plastic and rain -resistant bags. You can see that at the clip below.
It is worth trying to catch one of the shows, since BDX droids are still a relatively rare view since they began to appear at the end of 2023 in Disneyland. Clearly, however, Disney Imagineering continues to push the limits in the area of robotics, ultimately, using technology to build more immersive stories and experiences.
The arrival of BDX droids to Galaxy's Edge in Disney World occurs one day before the new Walt Disney Animatronic opens the public in 'Walt Disney, a magical life' in Disneyland in California, and can see our prior view of that attraction, and the animatronic, here.
