They have landed: the Disney Star Wars BDX droids are now wandering in Disney World

  • Star Wars BDX droids have landed on Disney World
  • The drug set will be in Florida until August 30, 2025
  • Disney exchanged components in droids to allow them to better resist climatic conditions, including higher heat environments

For the faithful of Star Wars and Disney Parks, another happy landing has occurred. The equally adorable and impressive BDX droids have reached Galaxy's Edge at Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida. That means that you may not have to travel as far as required to see the droids you have been looking for.

Disney first mocked that BDX droids would expand beyond appearing in Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland in California at SXSW 2025 during the “The Future of World Building at Disney” panel of Disney Experiences. Disney World was then confirmed, along with Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort, but BDX droids began to appear today, on July 16, 2025, in Florida.

Disney has confirmed that BDX droids will be in Disney World until August 30, 2025, and will appear seven times a day, from Tuesday to Saturday. You will see them in those days at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm.

Speaking earlier this year to Techradar, Moritz Bächer, Associate Laboratory Director of the Disney Zurich -based robotics team, also known as the man behind the Droids, told us a little about the preparation to bring these robots similar to the ducklings to more parks and, therefore, several climates.
