Although we already know that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will include a new in-universe card game called Queen's Blood, it looks like the game is prolific, with opponents all over the game world.
In our practice with a preliminary version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, We were able to experience Grasslands Area, the action RPG's first open-world area. In addition to trying out the card game for ourselves, we also saw that the world of Renaissance It's full of Queen's Blood players. While not everyone can be challenged to a round, the card game seems so popular that it is reminiscent of Gwent of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in terms of the number of people who play.
Every major city seems to have at least someone interested in Queen's Blood. The game itself is also very fun. As snap of wonder, The minigame is played on three lanes. The goal is to exert control of the board, claiming territory, which, in turn, allows you to play more powerful cards. They take turns placing their cards, and once everyone has played as many cards as possible, the scores are tallied in each lane. Whoever has the most points in a given lane will be able to add that score to their total, meaning putting all your eggs in one basket can sometimes pay off. If you have a higher total than your opponent, you win.
To spice things up, different cards influence the areas around them in different ways, exerting control over the board in interesting patterns. Some cards even have special abilities, which can really change things.
Although we only saw one of Final Fantasy 7 RebirthIn the explorable areas of the preview, it looks like Queen's Blood will also span the rest of the RPG. According to the Japanese Twitter account for Renaissance, The Shinra cruise ship, which travels between the areas of Junón and Costa del Sol, will have its own Queen's Blood tournament.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches on February 29 for PS5.
