If you've been running out of mobile data on your current phone plan but don't want to shell out more money for a bigger data plan, then this deal from Tangerine Mobile may be what you've been looking for.
For a limited time, Tangerine is cutting the price of its SIM-only 5G plans by 50% for the first four months, starting at AU$15 per month for its basic 30GB plan. Then the plan will return to $30 starting in the fifth month.
This deal above also tops our pick for the cheapest 365-day plan on the Telstra network, which is from Boost Mobile. Boost's offer is 240GB for AU$300, while Tangerine's aforementioned plan, when extrapolated to a full year, provides 540GB of mobile data for the same amount. That averages AU$25 for 45GB per month.
Tangerine Mobile SIM plans also include a 1000GB data bank, allowing you to reserve unused monthly data to accumulate and use when you need it later.
If you really want to increase your data usage and easily fill that data bank, Tangerine's top SIM-only plan will give you a whopping 320GB of mobile data for the first 6 months for AU$30 per month (and then AU$60 after four months – which is still a lot of data for that price!).
You won't get this deal directly from Telstra, so if coverage is important to you, it's hard to pass up this deal.
