Anker’s Soundcore Space One headphones were a huge hit when they launched in 2023, offering a budget alternative to Beats headphones with built-in ANC for a rock-bottom price. And now there’s a new model, the Space One Pro. The brand says these are its most premium headphones yet, and while they’re a little more expensive than their predecessors, they’re smartly designed and have an impressive spec to rival the best noise-cancelling headphones.
The previous Soundcore Space One headphones cost $100 or £100. These new Soundcore Space One Pro headphones cost $199 or £149 (about AU$290), putting them on par with the likes of the Sony ULT Wear Headphones or Sennheiser Accentum Plus. They also come with a carrying case, but it costs more at $34.99 or £29.99. However, if you're one of the first to buy before September 26, you'll get the case for free.
This is what's new.
Soundcore Space One Pro Headphones: Key Features
The most obvious new feature is what Soundcore calls FlexiCurve, a structure that allows the headphones to be folded into a doughnut shape, reducing their overall size by 50%. This is achieved through a new multi-segment headband and a three-joint swivel base. We love a good foldable headphone, and it’s one of the features we look for when rating the best travel headphones.
Noise cancellation is handled via six microphones, including four feedback microphones, and the drivers are 40mm in size. Battery life is rated at 40 hours with ANC on and 60 hours with ANC off, and fast charging gives you up to eight hours of playback time from a five-minute charge.
There are two models, which you can see in the image at the top of the page: jet black and cream white. Both models will go on sale in the US and UK from 5 September; we don't have any information on an Australian release yet.
We’ve already had a chance to test these headphones in depth, and you can read our full Anker Soundcore Space One Pro review for more information, but we praise their “rich, balanced sound all around” and noise cancellation, which is “a level above” mid-range headphones. We also found the comfort level “can’t get much better” than these. We did find the build quality a little disappointing, though, and especially in the US, the launch price is dangerously close to what you can usually get the Sony WH-1000XM4 for these days – which are still excellent headphones.
However, we gave them a high rating and they are definitely worth a try if you want a pair of the best wireless earbuds that aren't terribly expensive.
