Sony has confirmed that a new PlayStation State of Play event will take place on Wednesday, January 31, and it will be a big one.
The first State of Play of the year will last 40 minutes, and in that time, “more than 15 games” will be covered, so buckle up, because it looks like it's going to be quite the ride.
While Sony hasn't revealed many of the details upfront, it did reveal that there are “expanded looks” at the action and adventure of Shift Up. star sword and the magnificent Team Ninja role-playing game Rise of the Ronin (both PlayStation 5 exclusive games) will be shown. At the time of writing, star sword currently has no confirmed release window, while Rise of the Ronin Its launch is scheduled for March 22.

Since we don't know much of what will be shown, it will be particularly interesting to see what Sony has in store for us. A new PlayStation blog mail claims that viewers will receive “a new look at other titles coming to PS5 and PSVR2 in 2024 and beyond.” Needless to say, it doesn't look like everything included will definitely come out this year, so keep that in mind before the event.
Viewers will be able to tune into State of Play on Twitch, Tik Tok either Youtube starting at 5pm ET / 2pm PT / 10pm GMT on January 31, which is equivalent to February 1 at 9am AEDT. Be sure to set a reminder so you don't miss news and announcements as they happen.
