Say Slow horses To say it’s a great show is an understatement – I just re-watched all three seasons with my oldest son and was once again amazed by the perfect blend of drama, comedy and pacing that makes it one of the best shows on Apple TV Plus. If you haven’t already seen Gary Oldman and his motley crew of mediocre spies, you’re in for a real TV treat – and season four, which begins streaming on September 4, looks like it could be the best yet.
If you're already a fan of the most thrilling, entertaining, and often hilarious shows on TV, the Season 4 trailer gives you everything you could ask for: Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) being awful, River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) being useless, Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) being Machiavellian, and a lot of things exploding in explosive ways. But the most thrilling moment is the six words Lamb says: “One of my crew just died.”

Why Slow Horses Season 4 Is a Must-See TV Show
Slow horses It is based on Mick Herron's award-winning spy dramas and season 4 is adapted from the book. Ghost streetLike previous seasons, it centers on Jackson Lamb, a hilariously terrible spymaster, and the show's namesake horses: MI5 agents whose behavior or personality means they've been sent out to pasture.
Very mild spoiler alert: What makes the series so special to me is that all the characters are beautifully drawn and made all the more likable despite their flaws, so when, as has happened twice now, some characters don’t make it to the end of a season, it’s emotionally devastating. Each season so far has been a rollercoaster, deftly shifting from minor comedy to major drama and painting a vivid picture of a world where nothing is black and white. And it’s got a great theme tune, too.
Don't just take my word for it: Slow horses It has won two BAFTA television awards and was Best English-Language Drama Series at the 2022 C21 International Drama Awards. All three seasons so far are available to watch on Apple TV Plus and are essential viewing. There is even talk of a fifth and, we believe, final season airing in 2025. But if you've already seen them all, here are six thrillers full of intrigue to watch while you wait for season 4.
