Sennheiser updates its Accentum model while continuing to lower the high-end options

Sennheiser is updating its mid-range Accentum wireless headphones with a Plus model that introduces a couple of new features while remaining affordable.

The Accentum Plus cups now have touch controls. According to the announcement, tapping and swiping on the surface allows you to adjust the volume, control the media you're listening to, or activate transparency mode. The latter allows outside noise to filter in so you can better hear the world around you. Or if you prefer a more traditional method, the company's Smart Control app allows you to make the same adjustments. In Smart Control, Accentum Plus owners have access to a “5-band equalizer” and sound customization mode that gives people the ability to create custom audio profiles.

The other new feature is called Quick Charge, which gives you “an additional five hours of listening time” after the headphones are plugged in for about 10 minutes. When you have time to fully charge the headphones, you can expect a maximum of 50 hours of playback.

Like the standard Accentum model, it has hybrid ANC (active noise cancellation). This time, it's adaptive, meaning the headphones will dynamically alter the level of noise cancellation to better adapt to the environment. If you are walking down the street and there is construction going on, the ANC will be stronger. Please note that having this feature active drains the battery quickly.
