At a recent presentation of its 2024 TV range in Europe, Samsung revealed the first prices we've seen so far for this year's TVs. The price was only in euros, but it covered most of their TVs this year (although not all).
The main conclusion was immediately obvious: several of these euro prices have increased compared to the 2023 launch prices, by up to 30% (depending on the model), and Samsung's OLED TVs have been especially affected by this. However, some prices have also dropped, particularly on the cheaper QLED models, which is great for affordability.
In some cases there are significant price increases, well above eurozone inflation rates, although there are many other factors that influence the prices of the best televisions, including the cost of materials, shipping costs and, in some cases, more advanced technology within televisions. , including Samsung's new AI promotion processors.
And in addition to price cuts and increases, some models have remained at the same price as before, which can be considered a small price cut, since inflation means you're technically paying a small percentage less for them.
Still, price increases on OLED models are a concern, because the reason Samsung topped our list of the best OLED TVs last year was because of the excellent value of its models, but this doesn't automatically mean that prices They will increase so much. quantity in other countries, such as the US and the UK, as well.
If you look at the prices of the Samsung S90D compared to last year's Samsung S90C, the new euro price is usually in line with last year's UK price when converted, so it's possible that the UK price don't change that much. And Samsung often prices its TVs quite differently in the US due to the difference in the market there, so an increase in Europe is no guarantee of anything in the US.

If you look at the Samsung QN90D, the successor to the high-end Neo QLED model Samsung QN90C, you get a much bigger mix. The small 43-inch model has had a huge 30% increase in its price in euros, but the 55- and 75-inch models are exactly the same, while the 65-inch model only had a very small price increase.
