Creative wireless chat is a light bluetooth headset designed for commercial use. It does not seek to reinvent the wheel, but it offers exceptional comfort and a clear audio to what would consider a very fair price.
As a guy who lives inside his headphones, for everything, from conference calls to music reproduction and game sessions, he was eager to see how well they worked.
Spoiler Alert: It is definitely worth taking a look if you are a professional. Yes, I have problems with the buttons, but the design, price and general quality of the audio and the noise cancellation microphone are excellent.
Creative chat wireless: price and availability
Chat's creative wireless headicular is priced at $ 70 of the official US site, while in the United Kingdom, it is sold for £ 50 through Creative.
I also see it available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk for the same price.
Compared to the alternatives, it has a more or less price in the low -to -medium range; It is certainly not as expensive as offers as the Jabra Evolve 2 65 flex that I have reviewed, which far exceeds the $ 150 mark.
Creative chat wireless: design and characteristics
The design of chat wireless headphones is the pair of the course and is in line with what would expect from a unit at this price. Inside the box, is the headset itself, a USB cable, the USB dongle and a fast starting manual.
In the hand, the headphones are impressive lightly with much to adapt to a range of head sizes. The band is made of a firm plastic, perfectly rounded on one side, which I think gives an attractive and premium style compared to the Bow and Budget headphones. To advocate the upper part is a filling for a more comfortable adjustment. As an accent, there is bronze metal that connects it to the pads.
I found the well -fined headphones, with an interior of foam covered with a synthetic material. They fit very well on the ear, but do not wrap them in the way they do the casual headphones of the consumer. These also turn inwards for easier storage, although they are not folding and do not come with a case.
In the left headset there is a USB-C port to load and separate the volume buttons up and down. I particularly like how both sides of the band are placed, so I was not blindly looking for the right one.
It is also the home of the atodable microphone, which revolves in both directions and presents a button of physical silence. At the microphone base there is a call button, it is used to activate and turn off the unit or enter the Bluetooth match mode.
In general, the headphones has a simple and efficient design with all the main features it would expect.
Wireless creative chat: performance
I have said it before and I will say it again: the wireless chat is light, tilting the balance at 0.3 lb / 137 g when I weighed them. It is the type of headphones that can easily use all day (and I did) without discomfort. If you are receiving many calls, they are perfect in this regard.
When using the headphones, it is surprisingly firm in the ears, and although there is no noise in the headphones, the comfortable adjustment avoided the strange background filtering.
I found that the audio quality was excellent, with the fair amount of serious and acute, while the voices had the right bell. I used these for video calls that use Bluetooth and the Dongle USB, as well as to connect my phone to listen to music and podcasts through Bluetooth, and a Nintendo Switch 2 while playing. Every time, I did not experience a tinniness here, which sometimes finds cheaper devices.
The quality of the microphone was incredibly clear. There is noise cancellation in the microphone and in my own tests, this worked well. Which is useful, since I have an especially vocal cat that likes to publicize its presence during calls. I did not experience absolutely any problem throughout my use, and yes, the silence button in the microphone works instantly and well (a perennial fear of mine). A discreet voice will whisper in your ear to inform you when you are turned off or without dying, and the LED also changes from blue (immersed) to white (silent).
All buttons press feel soft and pleasant, neither too much click nor too soft, but at some intermediate point. However, I found when trying to adjust the volume, it had to be quite firm to register. Light taps will simply not work here.
This was not the case with the call button, which immediately responded when answering calls and hanging. Other features, such as pressing the volume buttons, to omit clues during playback or touch the call button to play or pause it worked well.
However, where I found problems went to press this button several times to activate the various functions, such as Redial or open my AI width. He took some time to discover the appropriate amount of time between each click. It should not be fast or prolonged. Experimentation is recommended.
But where it really counts: the audio and microphone quality, I was very impressed and surely listening to me. I never had to ask “Can everyone hear me?” Or “Is this on?”
Creative Chat Inallation: Final verdict
Every time I check a device like this, I wonder: would I buy this with my own cash won with so much effort? And, taking into account the cost and general audio experience, this is a rotating yes. It is impressively light and ideal for professionals in an office or in the home office environment.
I have some problems with the buttons, which could be more receptive, but to some extent it could be a user error on my part, and some may desire additional features such as a folding design or a storage box. And if you prefer a cable connection, these are not what are for you, since they are only wirelessly.
But for a wireless low -to -medium rank unit that makes the meetings more bearable, especially if they use them all day, they are one of the best bluetooth headphones that I have used.
Should I buy the wireless creative chat?
Buy it if …
✅ You use a headset all day: The wireless chat is pleasantly light for the use of the whole day, and the headphones feel adjusted on the ear without pressing against them too strong. I found that they were very comfortable, even after using them for hours at the same time.
✅ You want a well price with all the main features: It is not overloaded with unnecessary characteristics or expensive technology, but the audio quality is excellent and the buttons offer a multitude of additional functions to navigate calls and reproduction.
Don't buy it if …
❌ You need a wired and wireless connection: As the name implies, this headset is wireless only using Bluetooth 5.4 or the USB dongle. Creative sells the USB chat, which has a slightly thicker design but an almost identical price with, guessed it, a USB connection with cable.
❌ You want Audio NOISE CANCELLADOR: While the microphone has noise cancellation, the headphones do not have this characteristic. I did not find that this was a problem even in somewhat active rooms, but it can be a decisive factor for those in noisy work spaces.
