There was never any doubt that Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire It would be a Christmas hit for Netflix, and the latest global top 10 is proof of this: it tops the list for the second week, accumulating 34 million views and 77 million hours of viewing. That’s more than double the views of the second most popular and previous number one movie on the charts. Leave the world behind.
But despite all its wonders, rebel moon It’s not as fun as the movie that currently sits at number seven on Netflix’s list. Top Gun: Maverick is one of the most entertaining films we have seen in recent years and, as we said in our Top Gun: Maverick reviews that it “strikes a near-perfect balance between heart, humor and jaw-dropping spectacle to earn its wings as a bona fide blockbuster… [it shows] what movies can still achieve in the age of streaming.”
It currently has a respectable 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and, according to our friends at GamesRadar, is “an expertly crafted, wildly fun, and surprisingly emotional blockbuster.” We could not agree more.
If you haven’t seen any of these movies yet and are looking for something action-packed, Dissident It is 100% the way to go.
What other movies were Netflix Christmas hits?
At number three there is an old man: Beautiful woman, which racked up 8.4 million views last week. Like many films of its time (it’s over 30 years old), it hasn’t aged very well; The Guardian says that while it came out in the 1990s, “it’s as 1980s as it is.” donkey kongBananarama and the Rubik’s Cube… star power takes you much further than you have any right to go.”
Number four is considerably less controversial. Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget it’s not as good as the original Chickens race, but even a mediocre Aardman film is much funnier than many other animations. Next on the list is The Super Mario Bros. movie, which currently has a 59% positive rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes: Decider says it “feels like it was written on a calculator” and we think that’s not far off. It’s a perfectly good movie, but you’re in no danger of getting lost in it.
At number six is Adam Sandler’s sweet animation. Lion, a good-natured comedy about a talking classroom pet who helps an entire group of kids learn important life lessons. My 10-year-old can confirm that it’s “really fun” but “has too many songs.” Not everyone will necessarily agree with the second part.
Dissident is after that, and then two of the last three spots are for films in the Sniper franchise. Sniper: Ultimate Kill and Sniper: The End of the Assassin They are at number 8 and 10 respectively, sandwiching poor quality children’s films The boss baby: family business.
Only Dissident It’s really worrying about our list of the best Netflix movies in the top 10, then (although some will surely think Beautiful woman it should be there), but if you’ve already seen it 15 times, give it a like some the people on the TechRadar team have [I use it for testing Dolby Atmos systems, okay? – Ed] Watch these 4 new movies on Netflix in January 2024 with over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
