The answers to today's Quordle, game #842, are…

Today's Quordle puzzle doesn't have too many complications as such (there are no rare letters or words, just a repeated letter). I found it quite difficult. The reason for this was largely due to the large number of vowels and the inclusion of several consonants that are not among my three starting words, STARE, DOILY and PUNCH.

Although having vowels is useful, they usually don't give the word the structure that consonants do, so I had a hard time figuring out what AHEAD and ABUSE were. And on the consonant front, I had to add B, M, G, and W, none of which are in my opening words. Still, I got there in the end.
