Quordle Today (Game #889): Answers
The answers to today's Quordle, game #889, are…
Today I tried a new approach, which a reader suggested to me a while ago: using two seed words instead of three, to give myself a chance of solving Quordle with six guesses, instead of the seven my three seed words ask for. the strategy would allow it in the best of cases.
But what words to use? I decided to use TRAIN and CLOSE: between them, they used four of the vowels, leaving out the less common U, as well as the six most common consonants. Most were also in their more common positions, although the S was a notable failure in that regard.
Anyway, it worked out pretty well, as I solved what may have been a fairly difficult quordle, but then again, it took seven attempts, so there was no advantage over my standard approach. I'll try it a couple more times before deciding whether to stick with it or not.
Finally, a shout out to the Daily Sequence, which released a quartet of awful words today. Well done if you solved that one.
