The answers to today’s Quordle, game #899, are…

I'm really glad JIFFY hasn't appeared as a Wordle answer yet, if it ever does, because it's going to be a nightmare to solve. It's not like it was a piece of cake in Quordle, though at least here I had some extra guesses to identify it. Plus, with the repeated L's in ALLOY and a slightly uncommon (and unusually spelled) word in ANVIL, it's a pretty difficult Quordle overall.

It took me eight tries to figure it out, and that was despite my three initial words giving me a good chance to start the game, with four letters already discovered for three of the quadrants. The daily sequence was also complicated, making this day a real headache in Quordle.
