In exciting news, Paradox Interactive has announced Prison Architect 2, and the upcoming sandbox simulation game looks like it will be bigger and better than ever with some fantastic accessibility settings.

Players are expected to run a prison, organize inmate care and surveillance while trying to create a profitable business model. This time, you will be rewarded for giving inmates a second chance by helping them gain education and training in an occupation. The lower your recidivism rate, the more money you will get for your penitentiary once you decide to sell.
In a hands-on session at Gamescom, TRG was able to talk to developers about all the new accessibility features available.
“We have so many accessibility features,” said one developer in Prison Architect 2 says. “We love it, simply because we want to make the game available to as many people as possible.”
The upcoming prison simulation game will include scalable text, three different types of colorblind filters, dyslexic font, controller reticle, and much more. The team behind Prison Architect 2 holds accessibility very close to their hearts. There are even those within the developers who benefit from broader accessibility features, so it's almost a no-brainer that they put in the effort to ensure this next title is accessible to everyone.
There are very few games that include dyslexic font options for their player base. The team behind Prison Architect 2 decided to use Open Dyslexic to better equip the game for audiences who have traditionally found it difficult to understand explanation-heavy titles.
“We've coined the phrase 'color agnostic design'. The idea is that if you turn off all the colors in the game, players will still be able to understand exactly what's happening.” This means Prison Architect 2 It's incredibly well thought out and simple when it comes to UI design, a feature that will benefit everyone who decides to play it.
