It seems that some players have been having issues with save files and data mysteriously disappearing, and others are unable to enjoy this survival game with friends because some multiplayer options don't work.

The development team is aware of the serious bugs that are occurring, such as inability to access servers, inability to play multiplayer, and loss of saved data, and is currently working to fix them. “We will share information about solutions to these problems as soon as possible.”

A Google document posted by the developers includes details on general troubleshooting, in hopes of reverting backup save data and fixing issues with multiplayer.
Here is a brief summary of the options offered by the pal world devs, which will hopefully restore your previously saved data and give you back your precious little creatures:

- Inside the saved data directory, you will find player data and world data.
- Additionally, you will find the “backup” folder in the same directory.
- Select the saved date you want to restore by looking at the time of the saved data you want to restore.
- Copy “LocalData.sav” to the “backup” folder and paste it into the saved data directory. Be sure to overwrite the saved data you want to overwrite.
