NYT Strands Today (Game #70): The Answers
The answers to today's 70th Strands game are…
- STAND OUT
- ROCKY
- CRASH
- GLADIATOR
- PARASITE
- SPANGRAM: OSCAR WINNERS
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
This is possibly the easiest Strands puzzle we've had in a long time, although how simple you found it may have depended on the order in which you discovered the answers.
In my case, I found SPOTLIGHT first, by accident, and given the topic clue (“Picture Perfect”) I thought maybe it was something about photography. But when I discovered ROCKY, again by accident, I realized he was involved with the Academy Awards.
The spangram, OSCARWINNERS, followed immediately after, and after that it was easy to cross artists like GLADIATOR, CRASH and PARASITE off the list.
As was your day? Send me an email and let me know.

- DRESS
- COURT
- BOUTONNIERE
