The weekend starts with a standard Strands puzzle, by which I mean it's pretty complicated. That's the default of this game, which tests the old gray matter every day. If you need a little help, you'll find it below in the form of some suggestions, and I also have Strands' answers and my comments on the game if you just want to see them.

NYT Strands Today (Game #69): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 69 are…
- TUXEDO
- BODY
- DANCE
- DRESS
- COURT
- BOUTONNIERE
- SPANGRAM: PROM NIGHT
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: Perfect
I'm only marking this one as moderate because here in the UK, prom night doesn't exist, or at least it didn't when I was a kid. So, my experience of this comes almost entirely from watching American TV and movies, and unfortunately, “the bucket of pig's blood falling on the prom queen” wasn't on the list.
Fortunately, PROMNIGHT itself, the spangram, was fairly easy to find, and most of the others were relatively easy. That being said, if it hadn't been for the fact that BOUTONNIERE was alone at the bottom of the board below PROMNIGHT, he wouldn't have had any chance of finding him; He had literally never heard that word before.
As was your day? Send me an email and let me know.
