NYT Strands Today (Game #71): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 71 are…
- HOUND
- BOXER
- WELL-BUILT
- COLLIE
- POODLE
- BEAGLE
- SHEPHERD
- SPANGRAM: PILE OF DOGS
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
One of my favorite themes + some really easy locations = one of the simplest Strands puzzles yet.
I am very fond of dogs, so eliminating dogs like HOUND, BOXER, HUSKY and COLLIE (all of which were easily visible) was no problem. The only vaguely difficult part was the spangram, because I had never heard the term 'DOGPILE' before. But I was able to figure that out too, just by figuring out all the other answers.
My only criticism here: there was no room for LABRADOR, which is the breed I have and objectively the best dog you can get.
As was your day? Send me an email and let me know.
Answers from yesterday's NYT Strands (Sunday, May 12, Game #70)

- ROCKY
- CRASH
- GLADIATOR
- PARASITE
- SPANGRAM: OSCAR WINNERS
