NYT Strands Today (Game #303): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 303 are…
- CODA
- END
- CLOSING
- END
- EPILOGUE
- CONCLUSION
- SPANGRAM: IT'S OVER
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 track
When I saw today's topic I started looking for things that could be New Year's resolutions, but I quickly realized that “lose some weight”, “be the best version of myself”, “learn Japanese”, etc. They wouldn't be the best of riddles. Instead, the clever Strands gave us several alternatives for IT'S OVER.
Although that's not strictly true, since an EPILOGUE is an additional piece of information or plot after the think In movies, books, and plays it's over, but after the epilogue it's really over…or is it? Epilogues are usually there to summarize all the unanswered questions about the characters, what happened in the years after the CONCLUSION of the story, or, at worst, to tease the next installment in the franchise. Either way, we live in a time where leaving a movie before the credits roll into the soundtrack list is a gamble.
