NYT Strands Today (Game #268): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 268 are…
- TOTE
- BARREL
- MESSENGER
- BUCKET
- DUFFEL
- SHOULDER STRAP
- SPANGRAM: BAGS
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 2 tracks
Full disclosure: I am not a BAG expert and I struggled to figure out today's game, let alone write about it. So don't expect too much in terms of entertaining or enlightening information here (not that you'll necessarily get that any day).
So yes, BAGS. Those things where you carry things. Apparently BARREL, BUCKET, DUFFEL and CROSSBODY are all examples, but I didn't know that until now. TOTE and MESSENGER too, but I considered them more like bags in general than handbags. I accept that I was wrong about this. I solved it by using two clues and then looking up random words, instead of knowing what could be answers. It took a while and was tedious and I'm glad the whole ordeal is over. However, if you know about bags, I suspect it was a lot more fun. This is all largely my mistake, rather than the game's (on this occasion).
How was today? Send me an email and let me know.
