NYT Strands Today (Game #114): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 114 are…
- REPLACEMENT
- SPLIT
- STRIKE
- TURKEY
- LANE
- PAWS
- ALLEY
- CHANNEL
- SPANGRAM: BOWLING
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
I'm terrible at bowling; I think my best score was around 100, which would be considered a disaster for a decent player. Although that said, I'm a champion of the game on Nintendo Switch/Wii, so that counts for something, right?
Anyway, my inability to knock down pins in real life didn't affect my game today, which was much smoother. I didn't spot the concept in the topic clue, which was a bit obtuse, but I picked up both SPARE and SPLIT by accident, and at that point I knew exactly what the remaining answers would relate to. Next I got the spangram, which made it even easier to find the other solutions, and I completed everything in much less time than it would take me to complete a real game of bowling.
