NYT Strands Today (Game #78): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 78 are…
- JOURNEY
- BEAUTIFUL
- MISFIT
- SWAN
- REFLECTION
- SPANGRAM: UGLY DUCK
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
This was a pretty fun, albeit relatively easy, Strands puzzle. It's not as easy as yesterday, of course.
The key here was to find one of the two words related to birds. The theme track should have given you enough of an idea of what was going on; If you were like me, you would have scanned the board for chick, chicken, etc. In my case I found duck, but it didn't work, then duck, which didn't work either… and then I saw the first half and was able to play UGLY DUCK for the spangram.
SWAN was easy after that, as were REFLECTION and BEAUTIFUL. MISFIT and JOURNEY (the last of which was probably the most obscure of the words, in terms of its relation to the subject), followed by a process of elimination after that.
As was your day? Send me an email and let me know.
