You're never too far from making a mistake in Strands, but thankfully the game is pretty forgiving; it's very difficult lose the way you can do it in Connections or Wordle. The challenge is to solve it without using a hint, but today was a challenge I failed. If you need help, read on.

NYT Strands today (game #120): the answers
The answers to today's Strands game #120 are…
- GONG
- DRUM
- TRIANGLE
- RATTLE
- SAUCER
- TAMBOURINE
- SPANGRAM: PERCUSSION
- My rating: Easy
- My score: 1 track
Is this really easy? I made a mistake, but in retrospect I feel like I shouldn't have and that I was just too impatient. Here's what happened: I looked at the track for the song and immediately thought, 'Oh, it's going to have something to do with drums.' So I looked up a few: STRAY? No. TOMTOM? No. BASS? No. KICK? No. The problem was that I was thinking drums, not percussion. So I used my track, got GONG, realized my mistake, and then knocked down the others one by one without any major problems.
