NYT Strands today (game #193): the answers
The answers to today's Strands game #193 are…
- LANE
- STREET
- PATH
- AVENUE
- ROAD
- BOULEVARD
- SPANGRAM: COMPLETE ROUTE
- My rating: Moderate
- My rating: 3 tracks
I don't know if today's Strand is difficult or not. I found it hard, but that might just be me. After all, the concept (names for ROADS, as the spangram would say) is simple, but on the other hand, the spangram itself is really difficult. I mean, when was the last time you used that word to refer to a STREET, a ROAD, or a LANE?
Other than that, I couldn't think of any roads beyond the three obvious ones mentioned above. BOULEVARD isn't a common term in the UK, where I am, and HIGHWAY is very rarely used here, so that didn't help. But I should have found AVENUE, and ultimately I think this was more due to my failings than the sheer difficulty of the puzzle.
