NYT Strands today (game #158): the answers
The answers to today's Strands game #158 are…
- MUSIC
- FLOATS
- SUNSCREEN
- DRINKS
- NOODLES
- TOWELS
- SPANGRAM: POOL PARTY
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
I prefer spending time at the beach/ocean than in a pool, and that could be why I've never been to a POOLPARTY. Or it could be because I don't live somewhere nice and sunny like California or Florida. Either way, I was completely confused by this Strands puzzle for about two minutes at first, after first finding the MUSIC. “Splash event” and MUSIC? What could be the connection? But then I discovered the FLOATS as well, and had that lightbulb moment where it was obvious what the theme was. Next up, the spangram, and then the remaining answers in a fairly short order for another fairly easy game.
