NYT Strands today (game #147): the answers
The answers to today's Strands game #147 are…
- DIARY
- GRANDSTAND
- CHRONIC
- TIMES
- BALLOON
- HERALD
- SPANGRAM: NEWSPAPER
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
I would have been a little annoyed with myself if I had gotten this wrong – after all, I have worked at several newspapers over the course of my career. The hardest part today, as it usually is, was deciding what the topic would be, but once I had it figured out, it was a piece of cake.
I found Spangram first, after thinking a bit about what the “daily delivery” theme might generate. I searched for words like LETTERS and PACKAGES, then MILK, then found NEWS and thought, ah! NEWSPAPER was easy after that, and then words like DAILY and HERALD fell into place with a minimum of fuss.
How did your day go? Send me an email and let me know.
