NYT Strands today (game #161): the answers
The answers to today's Strands game #161 are…
- DECK
- YARD
- VERANDA
- BALCONY
- SUN ROOM
- TERRACE
- SPANGRAM: ADDITIONAL SPACES
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 4 tracks
I had a really hard time reading today's topics. I had a really hard time getting started and needed a clue to find the first word, which was DECK, and I had a really hard time figuring out how it related to the topic clue, “Final stretch?”, so I needed another clue. She gave me PATIO, and that's when I realized what I needed to do. However, I had a hard time thinking of (or finding) other words afterwards. I eventually needed clues for BALCONY and SOLARIUM, and at that point there were very few words left that could be formed, so I managed to find the others. Still, the spangram, GIFT SPACE, took me forever to figure out. It wasn't a good day.
