And so Connections hits the 400-game milestone. Can it do a Wordle and still top 1,000? It's hard to say, but given its popularity it seems likely. Today's game is potentially difficult, which is to say it's roughly in line with the previous 399.
What should you do once you're done? Play more word games, of course. I also have articles with daily Wordle hints and answers, Strands hints and answers, and Quordle hints and answers if you need help with those topics as well.

Today's NYT Connections (Set #400): The Answers
The answers to today's Connections game, number 400, are…
- YELLOW: CONSIDER AS TRUE ACCEPT, BELIEVE, BUY, TRUST
- GREEN: FACADE CLAIM, FALSEHOOD, SIMULATION, SHOW
- BLUE: WAYS TO SECURE A TELEVISION BASE, SUPPORT, MOUNTING, SUPPORT
- PURPLE: LIQUOR BOTTLE SIZES FIFTH, MANGO, LITER, PINT
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 2 mistakes
Even a little liquor is one thing, and the fact that I didn't know that before today explains why I needed two clues here. In my defense, this was the purple group, so the hardest of the four. I didn't know that at the time, of course, but if I had known then I probably would have left it for last, rather than tackling it from the beginning.
After failing twice (assuming SHAM and then BASE could be liquor measurements), I moved on to another side and things got a little easier. The yellow one, “consider true,” was much easier, as was the green one, “facade.” At this point, I was down to eight words, three of which were still liquor sizes, and it was a simple task to extract the four I needed for “ways to secure a TV base.”

What is NYT Connections?
NYT Connections is one of the increasingly popular word games created by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four items that have something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow is a little harder, blue is usually quite difficult, and purple is usually very difficult.
The plus side is that you don't technically need to solve the last one, as you'll be able to answer it by process of elimination. Plus, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you a bit of wiggle room.
However, it is a bit more complex than something like Wordle and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to trick you with tricks. For example, beware of homophones and other wordplay that could disguise the answers.
It can be played for free via the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile devices.
