Max has recently confirmed some interesting developments for its next major titles, including the batman's spin-off show The Penguinthe long awaited Harry Potter series as well as the return of the hit HBO show Euphoria third season.
In an interview with Varietypresident and chief content officer of HBO and Max, Casey Bloys, confirmed that The Penguin is coming to the streamer in September of this year, and that development was underway for both the untitled title Harry Potter series and next season of one of the best max shows, Euphoria.
What awaits Max?
Speaking about the new projects, Bloys said: “One of the advantages that I think we have as a company, leaving aside HBO for a second, is all of the Warner Bros. intellectual property.
“After House of the Dragon second seasonthe next big series ahead of us will be He Penguin with Colin Farrell. That comes from Matt Reeves. the batman and it's fantastic. Like Pacifier came out of James Gunn suicide squad It's a very good example of what you can do. “That will be in September.”
Elsewhere, the planned Harry Potter The series is in its early stages of development and Max executives are still listening to writers' pitches. We currently don't have a release date or casting information for that one, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on.
Bloys added: “And then, obviously, the Harry Potter series later. “We are still in the process of working with the writers on their takes.”
Finally, Euphoria Season 3 is on the horizon and will feature the same main cast, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer. Bloys teased that series creator Sam Levinson no longer wants it to take place in high school, so there will likely be a time jump.
