If you prefer to read literature on one of the best e-readers rather than on a tablet or using the original paperback, you've probably heard of Boox. The e-reader company has made a name for itself thanks to its thin and lightweight e-ink devices, and it just launched a new addition to its lineup.
The Boox Go 6 is the latest model in the Go range and continues the company’s tradition of offering thin and light e-readers. The Go 6 weighs 146g and is just 6.8mm thick, making it easy to pop into a bag for a spot of holiday reading.
Despite that, the biggest draw is probably the Go 6's Carta 1300 display. This e-ink screen offers 300 ppi and “improved visual quality and performance,” Boox says, with deeper blacks and brighter whites that result in sharper text and a more comfortable reading experience.
There are also built-in dual-tone front lights, which should help ensure visual comfort whatever the situation, whether you're enjoying some light reading during the day or at night.
The Android Advantage

The Boox Go 6 runs Android. As we said when we reviewed the Boox Note Air 3, using Android brings a lot of versatility: as long as your preferred e-book provider has an Android app, it will work on the Go 6.
This also means that the device isn't limited to just reading apps, as you can also download Android apps for browsing the web and playing audio, if you want. Boox says that the device comes with the Google Play Store pre-installed (which isn't the case with Kindles), making it easy to load compatible apps onto the e-reader.
The Go 6 comes complete with a microSD card slot for expanding its storage, a built-in AI assistant, and a battery life that apparently lasts “days on a single charge,” Boox says. The Boox Go 6 costs $149.99 (around £145 / AU$220) and is available to buy now from Boox’s website.
