Finally, one of my favorite party games suppliers, Jackbox Games, is finally preparing for a beta version of its games that reach smart televisions and 'other platforms' in the spring of 2025, which means that it is a good time to be the owner of the best smart televisions.
The Game Company announced a new application for smart televisions and other platforms that will allow it to play a selected range of its popular party games. Unfortunately, the application will have ads, but my emotion has eclipsed this inconvenience.
Known for its multipurpose catalog that are perfect to throw shade to your best friends, the Jackbox interactive games usually comes in 'Party packages' that consist of a handful of different games that you can play in your free time once purchased.
Until now, the Jackbox game service has only been accessible on PC or Games consoles, which means that it has not always been easy to play on a large screen. You can also subscribe to Jackbox Games in the Amazon Luna Cloud Games service for a monthly rate of $ 4.99, but this dedicated application for smart televisions, among other devices, should make it much easier.
According to the official Jackbox blog publication, the company has expressed its desire to make its services more accessible: “It has always been our goal to bring these games to as many people as possible and make them the easiest to play.
The Smart TV version of its service will work in an association with AWS Gamelift Streams that “allows us (US) to quickly launch and transmit games to all types of devices, from smart televisions to web applications.”
Instead of buying individual party packages, the Jackbox Smart TV version will offer a small collection of games with advertisements for free before entering a subscription rate that gives users to total access to the entire catalog. However, the price is not yet known for this until now.
As it is, there is not much information on which Smart TV models will admit the application or which countries will have access first. However, we assume that Jackbox will enter more details closer to the launch.
