There's no acoustic space like the bathroom when you want to belt out your favorite tunes, but most smart speakers aren't designed to handle that kind of heat and humidity. Luckily, Home Depot has come to the rescue with a Bluetooth speaker, fan, and smart lighting combo that will transform your bathroom karaoke sessions with audio and color-changing lighting.
The Hubspace-powered commercial smart electric exhaust fan is an odd, but interesting device that fills a particularly humid space in your home. Hubspace is Hope Depot’s smart home platform, and it works with Alexa and Google Home, so you can use it with your existing devices and use voice commands to control it through a smart speaker (though it’s not yet compatible with Matter).
You can also manage it through the Hubspace mobile app, which lets you set schedules, change the light color, adjust the fan speed, and group multiple Hubspace products together. You can choose a warm or cool light, or choose from a palette of RGB options.

It also has a humidity sensor, so the fan only kicks in when needed and automatically shuts off when the steam dissipates. The airflow is adjustable and the fan is quiet enough not to disturb your music, operating at a level of 0.8 to 1.0 sone depending on the setting chosen. It's no louder than your refrigerator, so it definitely shouldn't stop you from singing in the shower.
There's also a motion sensor and subtle nightlight mode that will illuminate for late-night bathroom visits without needing to search for a switch or be blinded when nature calls.
The smart exhaust fan is available to buy from Home Depot starting today, priced at $199 (about £160 / AU$300).
