- iOS 19 Camera App Rumored to Be Redesigned
- It could be a sign of a broader visual refresh for iOS 19

The Camera app is probably one of the most used iPhone apps for most of us, and the rumor is that this key piece of software will be getting a makeover with the release of iOS 19 and iPhone 17 later this year.
According to Front Page Tech (via MacRumors), the Camera app's interface will become more fluid, smoothly adapting its layout as different features and options (such as panoramic images or slow-motion videos) are accessed.
Most of the screen is still taken up by the viewfinder (what you're actually taking a photo of), but the image and video resolution options will be easier to access, with drop-down panels appearing at the top of the screen. .
The fluidity of the interface and the translucent panels are very reminiscent, as Front Page Tech points out, of the visionOS software that runs on Apple Vision Pro. The idea is that the design renewal could also be applied to the rest of iOS 19.

You may remember that last year there was talk that iOS 18 could receive a redesign inspired by visionOS. That didn't happen, but it looks like Apple is still considering making its iPhone software more like its Vision Pro software.
However, nothing is certain yet: even tipster Jon Prosser, in the Front Page Tech video you can see above, is not sure what will happen, but we know that Apple will already be working on iOS 19 updates ready for its iPhones.
We should get our first look at iOS 19 in June, when Apple holds its annual WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference). A beta program will likely follow shortly after, with a full launch in September to coincide with the iPhone 17 range.
There haven't been many rumors or leaks about iOS 19 so far, although we have heard that any iPhone with iOS 18 will also be able to run iOS 19. We will most likely see a number of additional updates from Apple Intelligence as well.
