- Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo Ultra 2025 expels high -end AI hardware in a small case of 3.6 liters
- It offers great energy performance and efficiency to only 300 watts
- Admits large language models with parameters up to 14b
Apple's Mac Studio continues to dominate the conversation about compact high performance desks, but Lenovo is going back with his ThinkCentre Neo Ultra series.
Originally launched in CES 2024, the first ThinkCentre Neo Ultra presented an Intel processor of 14a generation. Only six months later, Lenovo updated the device with the CPU Core Ultra of Intel, and also updated the GPU in a separate system, the mini PC of Lenovo Yoga Portal.
Now, Lenovo has introduced another update of the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra series: a new mini workstation equipped with the CPU Core Ultra 9 285 of Intel high range and a GPU RTX 5060 Ti of 16 GB with a 180W rating.
Portable but powerful
“Little stature, great energy” is how Lenovo describes this year's model, and the motto fits. Despite its 3.6-liter compact chassis, this mini PC offers a total yield output of 825 tops and updates from the LGA-1700 of desktop degree to the most recent LGA-1851 recharge.
The power supply has been reduced from 350W in the previous version to 300W, which suggests better energy efficiency.
Although this model still avoids unlocked CPUs of the K series, it aims to balance the thermal limitations and the computational performance that should attract your business centered audience.
One of the most outstanding features are updated graphics. Replacing RTX 4060 with an RTX 5060 TI of 16 GB offers a substantial impulse for users who handle inference to AI, 3D representation or high -resolution video workflows.
Lenovo also hints at a dedicated NPU card, although it is not clear if this refers to separate hardware or is linked to the architecture of Intel's Arrow Lake.
In any case, the system admits large language models implemented locally with up to 14 billion parameters, an attractive option for organizations that seek to execute workloads internally.
Lenovo says that the system obtained a better new CES 2025 technology for the home and workplace award, adding more credibility to its performance claims.
Base settings include 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, with prices established in 14,999 RMB (around $ 2,056) for the Core Ultra 5 and RTX 5060, or 19,999 RMB (approximately $ 2,741) for Ultra 7 and RTX 5060 TI.
The prices and availability for the Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB variant have not yet been announced, and there is no word about international launch details.
