- Rumors hint at Intel B770 arc in Computex this May
- It is expected that Nvidia will set your GPU RTX 5060 on May 19 near Computex
- It is rumored that ARC B770 has 16 GB of VRM, compared to the 8GB of RTX 5060
While there has been no official confirmation of NVIDIA, all signals point to a May 19 launch for its new RTX 5060 GPU. However, it may not be a soft navigation launch for Team Green, since both AMD and, what is more important, Intel has a strong competition in the horizon.
According to the Japanese media Gazlog, Intel B770 GPU ARC B770 is expected to be revealed in Computex, around NVIDIA RTX 5060 launch date. It is anticipated that it is a more powerful medium level GPU compared to Arc B570 and B580, with 16 GB of VRM and a 256 -bit memory bus.
This comes next to Rx 9060 XT of AMD, which is at least rumored that is revealed around Computex and the RTX 5060 launch of its rival fierce. Team Green has much more to worry now, particularly with the controversy surrounding the 8GB VRMB configuration of the new GPU.
With the launch of ARC B770 RX 9060 XT of AMD and Intel with 16 GB of VRM (keep in mind that the AMD GPU will also have an 8 GB variant), you can leave NVIDIA RTX 5060 in a tougher position than before.
There are no clarifications on whether the B770 will have 16GB GDDR6 or GDDR7 VRM, but a previous rumor informed by WCCFTech suggests that Team Blue can be working to use the GDDR7 memory chips for the next generation GPUs, and this can be the 'Celestial' line, but there is also a possibility that Arc B770 can be the first to see this change.
If this is legitimate, Intel deserves praise for abandoning the 8GB GPUs completely
It is already clear that Intel is aware of the 8GB GPUs and the negative consensus that surrounds them; Its A770 GPU presented 16 GB and 8GB variants, and it is safe to say that the latter does not cut it for the triple-a today (unless you enjoy constantly adjusting the graphics configuration).
Fortunately, its most recent ARC B570 and B580 have 10 GB and 12 GB VRM configurations, respectively, and it seems that Team Blue is eliminating 8GB with the rumored B770 by 16 GB (as expected, if it is really a more powerful GPU).
In addition to the ray layout capabilities, DLSS 4, Multifieles generation and GDDR7 VRM, I would say that ARC B770 (based on rumors) seems that the most attractive graphics card on RTX 5060. Intel is gradually expanding its xess elevation method, including frame generation, so it will be great to see the rumor of GPU.
I hope that Blue team efforts with this 16 GB GPU will be well received by consumers, because it could be a form of NVIDIA and AMD finally abandon the 8GB VRMB vram capabilities for future GPUs.
